About twenty years ago I became interested in Eastern Philosophy and as a result, Yoga Asana. When I experienced my first yoga class, I had little idea of the impact this would have on my life but the "yoga seed" was planted. That seed took root in my heart and soul and has now evolved into a life's work informed by an abiding belief in the power of self exploration through yoga and bodywork.

After attending Integral Yoga Institute in my home town of New York, I went on to complete a residential program at Sivananda Ashram in 1989. I began teaching privately in corporate New York, then moved to North Carolina where I taught at senior centers, clubs, spas, gyms, universities. Later I traveled to Mysore, India to study in the Ashtanga tradition with Gurus, Sri K. Pattahbi Jois and Sharath Rangaswamy. Out of an ever evolving yoga practice came a natural curiosity and subsequent exploration into the sister art of Yoga, Thai Massage. This led me to Chiang Mai, Thailand to study under "Mama" Lek and Jack Chia.

Over the years I have have been lucky enough to be in the presence of many gifted teachers. I am filled with eternal gratitude for my teachers, Swami Satchidananda, Swami Asokananda, Sri K. P. Jois and Sri Sharath Rangaswami, David Swenson, Erich Schiffman, Mama Lek and Jack Chia, Kam Tai Chow. I am deeply grateful for all those who continue to teach me: students, clients and my own inner guide. Many Namaskaras to all yogis on the healing path.

As I continue to explore and teach Yoga, Thai Massage and Partner Yoga, my hope is to create a nurturing environment where others may experience deeper levels of well being through the healing arts of yoga and massage.
